A Preliminary Survey and Evaluation for Tending Quality of Street Trees in Downtown Area of Kunming City

10 599 street trees in 9 main streets in downtown area of Kunming City were surveyed by typical sampling method.The survival rate, growing status, infestation of pests and diseases and the control, tending measures of these street trees and some other factors were recorded, then the survey data were processed to evaluate the tending quality of the street trees in the city.Some suggestions were proposed for setting up scientific and practical tending quality standards and maintenance measures for street trees to improve the landscaping effect and to enhance the environmental quality in Kunming City.
