Effect of Plant Growth Regulators on Rooting Capacity by Lignified Cuttings of Carya illinoensis

  • The cuttage experiment was carried out with lignified cuttings got from three-year-old seedlings of Carya illinoensis. The following conclusions were drawn from the experiment:The adventitious roots of Carya illinoensis. were developed from callus.NAA 200, IBA 100~500 mg/kg were the most effective among the concentration range of 0~500 mg/kg for each plant growth regulator for the rooting process from bud germinating cuttings.NAA 200, IBA 100 had the best rooting effect for cuttings got from the dormant branches.Cuttings got from the bud germinating shoots could root better than those from the dormant branches.
