Preliminary Report on Introduction and Cultivation of Robinia pseudoacacia f. decaisneana

Based on 3 years' introduction and cultivation experiment in Kunming, it was concluded that Robinia pseudoacacia f. decaisneana could well adapt the conditions in the urban area of Kunming City. It was showed that Robinia pseudoacacia f. decaisneana had many superior biological characteristics including strong adaptability, fast growing, early blooming together with leafing, long flowering period, dense shading, red flowers matching green leaves, etc.It was proven that Robinia pseudoacacia f. decaisneana could be grown as ornamental tree species in Kunming urban area.
