The Bryophyte on Mingfeng Hill, Golden Temple in Kunming

  • The result of primary investigation on bryophytes of the Mingfeng Hill, Golden Temple in Kunming was reported in this paper. According to 384 specimens collected, there were 112 species belonging to 53 genera, 23 families distributed in the studied area. Among them, 9 species belonging to 7 genera, 7 families were liverworts, 103 species belonging to 46 genera, 16 families were mosses. And 21 species, which belonged to 17 genera, 9 families were newly recorded in Yunnan Province. The life forms of bryophytes in the studied area included adnata and radicantia, whereas the community types included petrophytia, geophytia and epixylophytia. It was showed that the geophytia species were the representative community types in this region with more species than other types. It was indicated that the species, life forms, community types of bryophytes and their distribution were closely related to geographical factors, vegetation conditions and the environmental factors of the habitats. As ground cover plants, the bryophytes would affect the existence of the whole local ecosystem. The geographical distribution type of the studied bryoflora belongs to Yunnan-Guizhou bryoflora, but there is similarity to Qinghai-Tibet and Lingnan bryoflora. Also, the bryophytes in the studied area could well represent the geographic distribution type of bryophyte in the low latitude highland of Yunnan-Guizhou zone and would play an important role in forming local regional landscape disposition.
