An Investigation on Current Situation of the Urban Greening and Study on Landscape Construction in Kunming City

Based on investigation on the utilization and spatial distribution of gardening plants in Kunming urban area, the existing problems were analyzed including poor evenness of the plant species distribution, inadequate color disposition, insufficient use of native plant species compared to exotic ones, unbalanced structure of the greenspaces with no local specialty. Countermeasures to upgrade the level of species utilization were discussed in the course of building Kunming as a national gardening city and a green ecological city.
