Determination of SiO2 and Ash Contents in the Timber of Acronychia pedunculata

  • The contents of SiO2 and ash in the timber of Acronychia pedunculata were determined by quantitative analyses to show the distribution in varied vertical and cross-sectional directions.The results indicated that the ash and SiO2 contents in the timber of Acronychia pedunculata decreased from the bottom to the top of the stem,and increased from the sapwood to the heartwood of the trees.
