Study on Vegetative Propagation of Cycad Plants

  • An experiment of vegetative propagation was carried out by both tillering and trunk splitting propagation measures with 8 species of 2 families including Cycas revoluta, C. taiwaniana,C. pectinata, C. panzhihuaensis, C. micholitzii, C. miquelii, C. siamensis and Zamia purpuracea. The effective measures of vegetative propagation for cycad plants were proposed based on comparing and analyzing the propagation results. The relevant key technical points for vegetative propagation of cycad plants were summarized.
