A Preliminary Study on Measures for Enhancing Germination of Rosa Seeds

Seeds of 4 varieties of Rosa were treated by 9 measures and the effects on enhancing germination were analyzed. The results obtained from field experiments showed that there were significant differences in germination value among different treatment measures, and there were extremely significant differences in germination value among different varieties. It was indicated that the optimal integrated measures for accelerating germination of Rosa seeds were:NAA pretreatment+sand stratification at low temperature, and KMnO₄ pretreatment+sand stratification at low temperature.
