Soil Treatment Effect on Occurrence of Damping-off Disease to Pinus tabulaeformis Seedlings

The effects of soil treatment and utilization of different kinds of pesticides with varied concentrations on seedling growth of Pinus tabulaeformis and occurrence extent of damping-off disease were studied. The results showed that the seedlings grew better, and the damping-off disease happened less when the humus content in the nurture medium was over 1/3. Utilization of varied pesticides had obvious effect on controlling of damping-off disease but did not significantly influence upon the growth of P. tabulaeformis seedlings. Integrated utilization of FeSO₄ with carbendazim or other pesticide could better control the occurrence of damping-off disease.
