Studies on root system of forest tree species started as far back to the 18th century. Up to now, the studies have been mainly concentrated on the bionomics, biology, physiology and mechanics of soil- reinforcement by forest roots. The reciprocity mechanism between the tree root system and the ecological environment, physiology and soil-reinforcement mechanism of forest roots should be the key aspects of related study in the future.
