Review of Researches on Jatropha curcas Tree Species Application

This paper reviews domestic and international achievements of studies and application of Jatropha curcas L tree species in recent years.It was showed that great progress has been made in both of the foundational and practical studies on seed oil of this tree species to substitute diesel for automobile operation.The studies on extraction process of the twig and leaves,extraction of seed proteins,the fungicidal effect and the inhibition effect on schistosomes and its intermediate snail host,as well as the inhibition effect on viruses,tumor,cruor and anti-cruor out of the extracts from different parts of J.curcas have made great progress.Researches on the ecological and economic benefits of this tree species were also summarized.
