Preliminary Study on Major Pests of Machilus yunnanensis on the Campus of Southwest Forestry College

The species and damage of main diseases and insect pests of Machilus yunnanensis were investigated on the campus of Southwest Forestry College.The results showed that the main pests were Stephantitis svenson,Aulacaspis sp.,Hormaphididae insect,white vein disease and leaf spot disease.The maxims of damage rate and damage index were caused by Stephantitis svenson,and the second by white vein disease.According the current situation of disease and insect pest,the corresponding control strategies and countermeasures were proposed.
