Ecological Compensation Mechanism and Policy Proposals for Songhuaba Watershed Conservation Area,Kunming

The ecological compensation status,the principles and approaches of ecological compensation for Songhuaba water source protection zone was studied on the basis of analyzing corresponding domestic and foreign literature and by means of studying the background properties of the area.Relevant policy recommendations were put forward to improve the ecological compensation mechanism,i.e.,formulating green industry supporting policies;conducting overall planning for the water source protection zone;improving the administration system,increasing financial transfer payment and multi-channel financing for ecological compensation;strengthening propaganda and education towards the stakeholders to promote their recognition of the ecological compensation and enthusiasm to participate in the related activities.
