Preliminary Study on the Nature and the Connotations of Eco-tourism based on Ecological Philosophy

Based on the ecological philosophy,the article expounds the nature and connotations of eco-tourism.It brings forward that the essence of eco-tourism is to educate and guid tourists to participate in protecting and conserving the ecological environment while displaying the beauty of environments and interpreting and demonstrating the operation mechanism of the "man-nature-society" complex ecosystem to the tourists.It explains the connotations of eco-tourism are to provid tourists with beauty of the ecology,offer tourists a good lesson of ecology,shape the people with ecological consciousness and guide tourists to take part in ecological action and to pursue "ecological economy" by ecotourism.
