Study on Improvement of Leaf Area Measurement Model of Tripterygium wilfordii

Leaf area is the important criteria of crown characteristics of a tree species,it is a very important specification of plant that influences on the productivity properties.A series of modified models to calculate the leaf area of Tripterygium wilfordii were proposed,and the modified simplex method was applied to optimize parameters of the model.It was demonstrated by running the different models that the modified models for calculating leaf area of T.wilfordii were superior to the former methods.
