Induction of Hybrid Plantlets of Rosa rugosa by Embryo Rescue

The effect on the embryo rescue efficiency on Rosa rugosa was studied by applying three inoculating phases and five cross breeding combinations.The results indicated that the cross breeding combination of Sunshine Pink × Aalsmeer Gold had the highest regeneration rate of embryonic shoots as 88.6% on MS medium with 0.05 mg/L 6-BA and 0.1 mg/L NAA.It was showed that the optimum regeneration rate of embryonic shoots reached 83.8%,which was obtained by taking 50~80 day old immature embryo as explant.The survival rate of transplanting the regenerated plantlets could be over 90%.
