Study on Growth Effect of Shuofeng Pear Introduced to Tonghai County and the Early High-yielding Cultivation Techniques

Abstract
Shuofeng Pear was introduced to Tonghai County from Pomiculture Research Institute of Shanxi Province in 2001 and grafted to stock plants of local species. The seven year introduction experiment showed that Shuofeng Pear behaved to be early fruiting,mid-term maturity, strong disease resistance, stable production,high quality,fragrant smell with good comprehensive properties. The sugar content of the fruit sap was 14.8%. The results showed that the cultivation area of Shuofeng Pear might be broadly extended.
