Low Toxicity and Micro Damage Identification of Pterocarpus macarocarous and Dalbergia oliveri by Ethanol Solvent

  • GC-MS extraction experiments by using acetone, methylene chloride, benzene, benzenealcohol and ethanol solvent were carried out for Pterocarpus macarocarous and Dalbergia oliveri, and then using the correlation coefficient method evaluated the similarity of the total ion chromatograms getting from the GC-MS.The results showed that methylene chloride and benzene had the lowest extraction yield, and the extraction result of ethanol, acetone and benzene was well;the similarity of total ion chromatograms existed between the same specie of wood by using different extraction solvents was high, but interspecific difference was significant, which could use correlation coefficient to wood classification and identification.Considering factors such as solvent toxicity and cost, ethanol was more suitable for fast low toxicity and micro damage identification of rosewood.
