Optimization Method of Ecological Suitability Partition for Wetland Park Based on Landscape Security Pattern

  • The largest marshland Xinjizhou at Yangtze Xinjizhou National Wetland Park was chosen as the case study area, while the high resolution remote sensing image of QuickBird in July, 2008, and 13 spatial distribution data of birds gathering were collected as the main source of information. Then “layercake model” based ecological suitability was analyzed and bird landscape security pattern was constructed, followed by optimization of suitability partition. Studies show that: the bird landscape security pattern in study area birds is comprised of four sources, three ecological corridors, and two strategic points. After optimization, the crossed places by two ecological corridors has been transformed from the low ecological suitability area into the appropriate ecological zones. Compared with the original partition plan, the percent of low ecological suitability area of construction land, cropland and nursery land is decreased by 7.34%, the percent of appropriate and high suitable area such as herbaceous swamps, forests, is increased by 6.37 % and 0.37 %, respectively.
