Analysis on Community Height Structure of Artificial Forest on Eucalyptus dunnii River Bank in Introduction District

  • 9yearold planted forest Eucalyptus dunnii which was introduced as riparian forest in Jianyang city was used as research object, and height-classes as reference index, dominant populations′ individual number, the community instability rate, the sharing degree of community vertical space, a diversity and other indicators were introduced to analyze the height structure of planted forest Eucalyptus dunnii. The results indicated that dominant individual of Eucalyptus dunnii community had reached the peak in the 18th -20th m heightclass, but the community instability rate of overall community was negative. Meanwhile, the maximum species composition and sharing degree were in 3th-5th and 9th-11th m heightclass, a diversity indicator had reached the maximum in 3th-5th m height-class. These research results had provided a foundation for further study on the community height structure and a theoretical basis for foster better management of Eucalyptus dunnii.
