Abstract
To scientifically evaluate the habitat quality grade for the Taxus wallichiana var. mairei, the average dominant tree heights of Twallichiana var. mairei as the dependent variable, and the 8 factors including humus depth, canopy closure, soil thickness, altitude, canopy species composition, slope position, slope aspect and slope shape as the independent variables, we determined and divided the underforest habitat quality grade based on the quantification theory with 117 sample plots of Twallichiana var. mairei in Mingxi County of Fujian Province. The results showed that the habitat quality model for Tchinensis var. mairei has good effect by building with these factors, andthe range of project score was 6697, which showed that those habitat factors significantly influenced the growth of Twallichiana var. mairei. The importance order of those factors affecting the habitat quality of Twallichiana var. mairei was humus depth ﹥ canopy closure ﹥ soil thickness ﹥ altitude ﹥ canopy species composition ﹥ slope position ﹥ slope aspect. The habitat quality for Taxus wallichiana var. mairei were divided into 3 categories, and put forward the corresponding management measures according to various cultivation objectives.
