A Comprehensive Evaluation of the University Landscape Based on Analytic Hierarchy Process

Abstract
Based on the questionnaire and expert consultation, the landscape of airport campus of southwest university for nationalities were comprehensive evaluated by using analytic hierarchy process (AHP), which constructed the campus landscape evaluation model with 5 primary factors and 19 secondary factors, including overall landscape, architectural landscape, plant landscape, water landscape, sketch and public facilities landscape. The evaluation results showed that the score of the campus landscape assessment was 321, just on the Ⅲ grade level. The evaluation indicators of each item lacked of uniformity, 3 indicators scores were relatively high, including overall landscape (330), architectural landscape (314), plant landscape (361), especially made an outstanding performance in the two aspects of seasonal plant landscape diversity and graceful degree, scores were 376 and 362, reached Ⅱ grade level, The Yingyuetan region in north area and the east and west sides of south gat were the favorite landscape by the majority of teachers and students. The scores of water landscape, sketch and public facilities landscape were relatively low, 280 and 274 , respectively. The evaluation results conformed to actual situation of campus, some problem was found out in the campus landscape, such as lack of the humanities landscape elements, water landscape was not perfect and the public facilities was unreasonable either. It also showed that the results provided guidance to improve and upgrade the campus landscape.
