Evaluation of Eco-environmental Sensitivity of National Ecological Function Area of Dushan County in Guizhou Province

  • Taking the national ecological function area of Dushan County in Guizhou Province as a case, the study has adopted soil erosion, desertification and habitat as ecosystem factors in setting criteria for ecological sensitivity evaluation. And based on GIS spatial analysis, it has evaluated ecological sensitivity of the research area by using both single factor and multi-factor comprehensive evaluation methods. The results showed that Dushan County is in the ecological sensitive region and the moderately sensitive part is dominant with an area of 1 345.8 km2, accounting for 55.1% of the total area. The highly sensitive part and the extremely sensitive part concentrated in northeast and central, which accounts for 29.4%.The slightly sensitive part distributed sporadically in the south and northwest, accounting for 15.5%. In combination with the local situation, rational utilization of land resources is suggested as a crucial breakthrough of the poverty relief policy. According to the result of evaluation, ecological function space control partition should be designated, and countermeasures of development and protection are put forward.
