Isolation and Identification of Triterpenoids from the Seed Shell of Camellia reticulate f. simplex

  • The chemical constituents of ethyl acetate fraction of 80% aqueous ethanol extracts from the seed shell of Camellia reticulata f. simplex were isolated by column chromatographic techniques, and their structures were identified by MS and NMR spectral analyses. Two triterpenoids were isolated from the seed shell of C.reticulata f. simplex, and their structures were identified to be oleanolic acid(1)and 3β-O-acetyloleanolic acid(2), respectively.
