Analysis of Nutritional Compositions of the Perisperms from Gleditsia japonica var. delavayi in Lianghe County

  • Using GB/T and NY/T methods, the general nutrients, amino acids and mineral elements of 10 perisperm samples of different individuals of Gleditsia japonica var. delavayi from Lianghe County in Yunnan Province were determined. The results showed that all samples contained higher contents of proteins with 2.37-3.64% and lower content of total sugar and crude fibers under 1%. There are 8 essential amino acids and 9 non-essential amino acids contained in the all samples, and the 2 indexes E/T and E/N in all samples are according with FAO/WHO ideal model. In addition, the mineral elements such as K, P, Ca, Mg, Na, Fe, Zn and Mn are rich in the all samples. It is indicated that the G.japonica var. delavayi in Lianghe County is a kind of nutrition and health food with higher protein, lower sugar, rich in amino acids and mineral elements with high K and low Na. The grey correlation analysis showed that the correlation degree between plant age and various nutrients of G.japonica var. delavayi in order of total amino acid, protein content, crude fiber content, mineral elements, and total sugar content.
