Spatial Structure Optimizing Model of Pinus massoniana Stand Based on Multi-function Management in Southern Jiangxi

  • This study took Pinus massoniana plantations in southern Jiangxi as object. Based on 30 sample plots investigation and sample determination, spatial structure indexes such as neighborhood comparison (U), mingling degree (M), uniform angle index (W), open degree (K), spatial density (D) were analyzed. And established the relational model between the stand function index and the spatial structure index through adopting multiple stepwise regression. On the basis, the multi-objective programming was used to build the spatial structure modes with leading by different functions. And the sequence linear programming was adopted to calculate the optimum solution. The results showed that ideal spatial structure comprehensive indexes of 6 kinds of multi-function management modes which included 4 single-functions (solid carbon, water conservation, biodiversity conservation and timber production), the ecological function and the optimal whole function were respectively 0.78, 0.78, 0.90, 0.68, 0.97 and 0.93; These ideal spatial structure modes of f (U, M, W, K, D) were respectively 0.50, 0.45, 0.61, 0.22, 0.36, 0.54, 0.66, 0.51, 0.18, 0.61, 0.44, 0.53, 0.54, 0.29, 0.46, 0.54, 0.52, 0.53, 0.17, 0.65, 0.44, 0.66, 0.48, 0.29, 0.51 and 0.52, 0.66, 0.61, 0.23, 0.29. On the basis of fitting the relational model between the stand function and the spatial structure, the effective method to build the spatial structure modes of multi-function management was the adopting of multi-objective programming on the stand scale. The ideal spatial structure modes with leading by different functions provided a scientific basis for formulating the measure of the spatial structure adjustment to achieve the forest management goal.
