Effects of Different Media Formulas on the Growth of Acacia podalyriifolia Seedlings

  • In order to save the transportation cost, 12 mixed substrates were made up respectively, on basis of different ratios of mushroom residue, peat soil, sawdust, perlite and subsoil of Acacia mangium forest. Results indicated that unit weight of 12 mixed seedling substrates was significantly lower than control group. Maximum water holding capacity, capillary porosity, total porosity and organic matter content were significantly higher than those of control group. Seedlings grew from T4, T5, T6, T7 substrates, the survival rate, height growth, root nodule number, dry weight of seedling and root were better than that of control group. Compared with control group, seedlings grew from T5(V(mushroom residue):V (perlite):V (forest soil)=1:2:1) showed optimal performance, survival rate, net growth of seedling, number of root nodule dry weight of seedling and root significantly increased by 15%, 126.4%, 3 465.2%, 631.6% and 525.4%, respectively.
