Comparison of Comprehensive Characteristics of 5 Manihot esculenta Varieties in the Dry-hot Valley of Salween River

The traits and quality performance of GR3 (CK), GR4, GR891, GR911, 048 which introduced from Guangxi were compared and analyzed to screen out suitable cultivation of fine varieties in the dry-hot valley of Salween River. The results showed that the GR4 had significant difference with other 4 varieties on main stem. GR911 had significant difference with other varieties on height of main stem except the 048. GR3 had no significant difference with other 4 varieties on plant height, fresh weight above ground of single plant and yield of single plant. GR4 agronomic traits and quality performance were the best, comprehensive ranking No.1, suitable as a processing and feeding varieties. GR891 had excellent quality traits, ranked No.2, suitable as edible varieties.
