Abstract
Taking seeds of Moringa oleifera as materials, the orthogonal experiment was used to study the germination and growth of M.oleifera seeds by means of range analysis and variance analysis. The results indicated that presoaking with warm water for 10 h and utilization of sandy loam substrate accelerated the germination and maximized the germination rate. The seedlings obtained the best growth with sterilization with 100 mg/L KMnO4 for 30 h and substrate uniformly mixed with peaty soil, humus, and perlite, with mass ratio of 3:5:2. 3 kinds of different treatment methods had significant effects on the seed germination rate, while the matrix and seed soaking time had no significant effects on the germination rate. The matrix had significant effects on the seedling growth, and the treatment manner had significant effects on the seedling growth.
