Identification of Symptoms and Pathogens of Plukenetia volubilis Root Rot

  • The pathogen of Plukenetia volubilis root rot was isolated using section-cutting and tissue isolation method, identified by morphological observation and molecular biology method, and determined according to the Koch′s rule. The result showed that rDNA-ITS gene was amplified by PCR technique, DNA fragment with a length of 550-650 bp was obtained. The sequence homology between the stain and Fusariun oxysporum was 99%. The pathogen of P.volubilis root rot was F.oxysporum.
