Effects of Substrates and Carbendazim on Root Activity of Cutting Seedling of Cinnamomum camphora var. linaloolifera Under Water Stress

  • The temary quadratic rotary regressive design was applied to study the effects of substrates、carbendazim、water stress on root activity and mineral absorptive capacity of 1-year-old Cinnamomum camphora var. linaloolifera cutting seedings. The results showed that different combinations had significant effects on the root mineral content and root activity. It was found that water stress inhibited root activity, and drought stress was higher than waterlogging stress. Carbendazim and peat substrates can improve the root activity, and carbendazim showed different effects on different substrates ratios. There was interaction effect between them. When the volume percentage content of peat was more than 80%, increasing the amount of carbendazim could reduce the root activity, but the performance of the pure yellow subsoil substrates was in the opposite. For 50% peat substrates, it didn′t have much influence. Description of the different substrates with the appropriate amount of carbendazim was helpful to improve the root activity, and resisted the impact of water stress on the absorption of mineral elements.
