Yield Traits and Almonds Nutritional Components of Armeniaca sibirica Clones

  • The yield traits, contents of almonds nutrients and their variation of 7 excellent clones of Armeniaca sibirica which were studied by variation analysis, analysis of variance and multiple-comparison. The results show that No. 28, 39, 1 and 37 are superior to others based on almonds percent and kernels yield. The almonds of A.sibirica clones are rich in proteins, fats, total sugars, crude fibers and amygdalin. Eightteen kinds of amino acids are identified in the almonds of A.sibirica clones, and E/TA values are 28.20%-30.07%. Six saturated fatty acids and 5 unsaturated fatty acids are measured and U/TF values are 95.10%-95.53%. There are extremely significant differences in the contents of amino acids and fatty acids among A.sibirica clones. According to the almonds nutrition characteristics of A.sibirica clones, No. 28, 42, 39 and 25 are selected as the clones with high contents of proteins and amino acids, No. 1 and 37 are selected as the clones suitable for edible oil production, No. 25, 39, 28 and 1 are chosen as the clones with amygdalin.
