Floral Organs Quantitative Character Variation of Camellia reticulata

  • The wild and semi-wild Camellia reticulata from Chuxiong and Tengchong was used as the observation object, and the quantitative characteristics of flower organs were observed. The quantitative characteristics and variation characteristics of flower organs of C.reticulata were analyzed. The results show that the number of C.reticulata organs varies. 5-13 bracteoles and sepals, 5-12 petals, 66-174 stamens, 2-5 stylets, 2-5 stylets locules, 1-10 ovules per locule, 6-23 ovules per fruit, the coefficient of variation is 12.46%-26.37%. Among them, the coefficient of variation of the number of locules is the smallest, and the coefficient of variation of the number of ovules per locule is the largest. The differences in the number of organs of C.reticulata mainly occur between the plants. The differences in the number of petals and stylets mainly occur among the populations, and the differences are extremely significant.
