Preparation and Application of Cyanobacterial Protein-based Adhesive

  • In this paper, the effects of NaOH degradation process and poplar plasma treatment process for poplar plywood on bonding strength and water resistance of plywood with cyanobacterial protein-based adhesive were studied. The results indicated that:NaOH treatment could significantly improve the bonding performance of cyanobacteria protein-based adhesive, but only dry bonding strength does not have water resistance. The optimum process for degradation of cyanobacterial protein powder by NaOH is 7% (accounting for cyanobacterial protein), m (water): m (cyanobacterial protein powder)=70:50, treating time for 0.5 h and treating temperature on 30 ℃.The suitable treatment power and time of plasma are helpful to improve bonding strength and water resistance. The optimum treatment process is 1 kW and 1 min. The research work can provide reference for the modification and application of cyanobacterial protein adhesives.
