The Performance with Product Quality and Decay Resistance of Phyllostachys edulis Scrimber

  • Bamboo scrimber with natural color and dark color as the research object. According to the standard GB/T 30364—2013 and GB/T 13942.1—2009 tested the thickness, MOE after 2 h boiled, MOR after 2 h boiled, 24 h thickness swell, internal bond strength, formaldehyde releases. The mechanical properties test showed that the high temperature treated bamboo fiber of dark color bamboo scrimber caused chemical reaction between cellulose and hemicellulose in bamboo fiber compared with the natural color bamboo scrimber. The MOE after 2 h boiled, MOR after 2 h boiled, 24 h thickness swell decreased by 13%, 12% and 53% respectively. The internal bond strength increased by 13%. Formaldehyde releases is E0 level; The decay resistance grades of Phyllostachys edulis reached the level II, and the weight loss rate of the natural color bamboo scrimber was slightly larger than that of the dark color bamboo scrimber, and the decay resistance grades of both reached the level I; The hyphae of the Gloeophyllum trabeum enters the P. edulis vessel and enters the parenchyma cells through the pits in the vessel, and the secreted cellulase causes cell structure to be destroyed; In the process of preparation, the bamboo scrimber loses a lot of nutrients such as starch and sugar, and the phenolic resin adhesive has a certain inhibitory effect on the G. trabeum. There is almost no hyphae infiltration inside, and its decay resistance is strong.
