Abstract
Taking Landsat remote sensing images of 1999, 2007, 2013 and 2018 in Jiangdong New Area of Haikou City as data sources. The study area was divided into 5 landscape coverage types by the method of supervised classification and visual interpretation, and the landscape pattern index was extracted to analyze the evolution of landscape pattern in Jiangdong New Area from 1999 to 2018. The results show that the landscape pattern in Jiangdong New Area of Haikou City changed significantly from 1999 to 2018, and the landscape gradually became fragmented and singular. The PD and NP in the study area increased gradually, and the AI index, CONTAG index and SHDI index decreased. The dominant landscape changed from forest cover in 1999 to construction land in 2018, the water area increased by 15.20%, the construction land area increased by 57.47%, the planted land area increased by 7.72%, and the forest and grass covered area decreased by 34.51%, the area of unused land decreased by 34.43%.
