Abstract
The effects of different plant growth regulators on the seedlings growth and production of the main secondary metabolite 6'-O-Caffeoylarbutin (CA) were investigated by using the tissue culture seedlings of Vaccinium dunalianum. As the results, the CA contents in the leaves and stem segments in WPM medium (CK) were (1.78±0.14)% and (0.75±0.09)%, respectively. In the medium of WPM+0.2 mg/L NAA, the seedlings grew best, however, their CA contents in the leaves and stem segments were only (1.59±0.01)% and (0.83±0.005)%, respectively. When the cultivation under a medium of WPM+2.0 mg/L ZT+0.05 mg /L NAA, the CA contents in the leaves and stem segments was the highest (10.77±0.31)% and (3.67±0.09)%, respectively, while the growth situation of the seedlings was weaker with yellow withered leaves. The cultivation condition with good growth situation of seedlings and higher CA contents (7.33±0.18)% and (2.00±0.05)%, respectively in the leaves and stem segments was the medium of WPM+0.5 mg/L ZT+ 0.2 mg/L NAA, which is more suitable for the seedlings growth and CA production.
