Spatial Distribution Patterns and Sampling Techniques of Eteoneus sigillatus Adult

  • Spatial distribution and sampling techniques of Eteoneus sigillatus adult, an important pest in Osmanthus fragrans, were studied by the aggregation indices, comparative frequency methods and liner regression analysis. And E. sigillatus adult's behavior, habits, activity regularity and its best method to sampling in the forest were explored. The results showed that its adult had an aggregated and negative binomial spatial distribution pattern. According to Iwao m*m regression equation, the theoretical sampling list with precision of 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2 could be established. The upper limit and lower limit of accumulated adult for 1, 2 and 4 adult per 20 cm topmost branches of the tree were 3440, 215, 1755 and 110, 913, 57 respectively.
