Abstract
In order to explore the effect of plant growth regulator on the flower promoting and fresh-keeping of cut flowers of Chimonanthus praecox. Seven treatments were set with different concentrations and ratios of gibberellins(GA3) and 6−benzylaminopurine(6−BA). The results showed that all treatments effectively advance the flowering of C. praecox, delay senescence, and extend the viewing period. Among them, the vase life of JS5 treatment(30 g/L sucrose + 300 mg/L 8−hydroxyquinoline + 300 mg/L Al2(SO4)3 + GA3 120 mg/L + 6−BA 120 mg/L) was the longest about 10 days, which was nearly 6 days longer than that of CK, and the bloomed ratio was the highest. The maximum flowering diameter increased by 76.64% compared with the control, and the flower urging time was the shortest. The soluble sugar in JS5 treatment increased first, then decreased and then increased, malondialdehyde(MDA) content fluctuated with the smallest and most stable amplitude, and the total superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity in the cutting branch showed a trend of decreasing first and then increasing. The JS5 treatment not only effectively alleviates the degradation of soluble sugar, but also enhances the tability of cell membrane and improves the internal environment of flowering branches, to achieve the effect of improving the quality of flowering.
