Analysis on Water Infiltration Characteristics and Difference of Soil in Kunming's Main City Parks Green Space

  • The soil infiltration rate and soil physical properties were measured under different soil depths(10, 20, 40, 60 cm) of different vegetation types(arbor-shrub-grass, shrub-grass, arbor-grass) in 4 representative parks in Kunming. And analyzed the characteristics of soil infiltration. The results show that the average soil infiltration rate shows a decreasing trend with the increase of soil depth. On different green spaces, it shows as follows: arbor-shrub-grass is the largest, shrub-grass is the second, and arbor-grass is the smallest; among different parks, it shows as: the order from largest to smallest is Country Park, Daguan Park, Heilongtan Park, Tanhuasi Park. The difference of stable infiltration rate among different parks is significant, but not significant in different depths and vegetation; the most suitable formula for the simulation of soil infiltration process of urban green space is the general formula. With the increase of soil depth, the steady infiltration value of soil gradually decreases, and there is no obvious middle barrier layer. However, the soil infiltration performance is the worst in parks and arbor vegetation with frequent human activities.
