New Records of Nymphalidae from China (Lepidoptera: Papilionoidea): Three Species and Three Subspecies

  • One genus, three species and three subspecies of Nymphalidae were reported for the first time from Yunnan Province, China. The three species are Symbrenthia hypatia (Wallace, 1869), Discophora deo de Nicéville, 1898 and Ypthima singorensis Aoki & Uémura, 1984. The subspecies are Neptis ananta learmondi Tytler, 1940, Neptis nashona kishii Saito & Inayoshi, 2014 and Lethe syrcis diunaga (Fruhstorfer, 1911). Brief descriptions and comparisons of the new record species and subspecies with similar species were given, and the pictures of their adults and genitalia were provided in this paper.
