Abstract
This paper selected tung oil and sodium silicate soaking or coating treatment of Eucalyptus urophyllax × E. grandis, and analyzed the surface color difference and decay resistance of the samples before and after treatment. The results showed that after soaking or coating, the lightness(L*), red−green color index(a*) and yellow−blue color index(b*) decreased. Sodium silicate had greater influence on the color of E. urophyllax × E. grandis than tung oil, the ΔE of E. urophyllax × E. grandis impregnated with sodium silicate was the highest, while the color difference of sodium silicate impregnated was greater than that of sodium silicate coating, the effect of tung oil coating was greater than that of impregnated. After soaking or coating, the quality loss rate of E. urophyllax × E. grandis samples infected by Poria vaporaria decreased obviously. The rot resistance of Eucalyptus urophyllax × E. grandis coated with tung oil, impregnated or coated with sodium silicate reached grade Ⅱ, and that of E. urophyllax × E. grandis impregnated with tung oil reached gradeⅠ. Impregnation treatment increased the content of tung oil and enhanced the corrosion resistance. The corrosion resistance of E. urophyllax × E. grandis, tung oil is better than sodium silicate, impregnation treatment is better than coating treatment.
