LC-MS/MS analysis of secondary metabolites in the endophytic fungus Colletotrichum camellia from an ancient tea tree

  • Analysis of the secondary metabolites in the rice solid fermentation of Colletotrichum camelliae, a dominant endophytic fungus isolated from the leaves of 'Jin Xiu Cha Zu' cultivated ancient tea tree Camellia taliensis (W. W. Smith) was carried out by using LC-MS/MS method. The results showed that a total of 3309 compounds were identified, including 796 alkaloids, 540 terpenoids, 475 fatty acids, 436 amino acids and peptides, 419 shikimates and phenylpropanoids, 161 polyketides, 156 carbohydrates and 326 other derivatives, with a relative content of 24.746%, 12.035%, 25.739%, 14.267%, 10.792%, 3.813%, 2.366% and 6.242%, respectively. There were 35 compounds with a relative content of more than 0.5%, with a total relative content of 37.420%. The results of this study provide a reference for further exploration of bioactive secondary metabolites and functions of C. camelliae.
