Studies on Stomata Length, Width and Density of Different Provenances of Distylium buxifolium

  • With the help of epidermis isolation method, a correlation study was conducted with eight provenances of Distylium buxifolium by taking the stomata length, width and density of the leaves as criteria. The results indicated that there was significant difference among the eight provenances of D. buxifolium in the stomata length ,width and density. There was no significant correlation between stomata length and width, neither between the stomata width and density, but the stomata length was negatively correlated with the stomata density.
