Effects of Cultivated Measures and Site Condition on the Growth of Taxus yunnanensis Plantations

  • The growth parameters of the young Taxus yunnanensi trees from both seedlings and cuttage bred saplings in three experimental sites in Baihua, Huangshan, Yangxi, Jinshan, and Tianbao In stitute, Shitou in Lijiang Prefecture were studied to understand the effect of different site conditions and cultivated measures on the growth performances of the young trees. It was showed that the order of the average cultivation>cose to wild growing status, container saplings>agroforestry model planting>regular field planting>understorey dense plantations. The resultes also showed that there was no significant difference in the growth parameters of the young T. yunnanensis plants between the sowing seedlings and cuttings under the intensive cultivation. However, under the extensive management, the growth performance of sowing bred seedlings was superior to that of the cuttings.
