  • Because Artemisia japonica has a wide usage, its seed is greatly needed in the world market. It is a way to enhance the rural economy by introducing the A. japonica from abroad and then exporting the seeds to Japan. A. japonica was introduced to Zaozhuang, Shandong Province and a set of cultivation techniques were summed up for bumper harvest for the seeds. The highest seed yield could be harvested while the seedling density was 9990 plants/hm2, and the fertilization dosage was 900kg/hm2. Whereas the optimum economic benefit could be realized by 9990 plants/hm2 seedling density and 750kg/hm2 as fertilization dosage.
