Identification on Five Types of Xanthones Abstracted from Polygala crotalarioides

Five types of xanthones were isolated from EtOH extraction of the whole plant of Polygala crotalarioides. By means of spectroscopic analysis, these compounds were identified as 1, 7-dihydroxy-2, 3-dimethoxyxanthone (1); 1, 2, 3-trimethoxy-7-hydroxy-anthone (2); 1, 3, 6-trihydroxy-2, 7-dimethoxyxanthone (3); 1, 2, 7-trimethoxy-3-hy-droxyxanthone (4); 1, 2, 3, 7-tetramethoxyxanthone (5). These compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.
