Analysis on Peroxidase Isoenzymes of Ten Robinia pseudoacacia Clones

  • Analysis of the peroxidase (POD) isozymes of ten varieties of Robinia pseudoacacia was conducted by using polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis method, and the genetic relationship of ten clones of Robinia pseudoacacia was discussed through cluster analysis. The results showed that ten isoperoxidase bands were determined and there were obvious differences in the isoperoxidase bands among the clones. The result from the similar coefficient matrix method coordinated well with that of Ouhm’s nonsimilar coefficient matrix method. Then correspondence was given to study on the genetic relationship between the species. The result showed that the difference among the clones was obvious. The ten clones were divided into four groups according to the cluster analysis. The genetic relationship among the clones was also studied from the genetic molecular level.
