Test and Comparison on Typical Angle Joint Strength of Laminated Bamboo Furniture

  • The strength test for typical angle bond of laminated bamboo furniture showed that the pullout force of rectangular tenon joint was stronger than that of dowel joint. The pullout force of eccentric connector was greatly related to the depth of nut barb into the plate. Because the hardness of bamboo itself was strong, it was difficult to insert the nylon nut into the embed board, whereas the pullout force was small. In general, the larger glued area of tenon joint was, the greater pulling force would be, and the greater failure moment would be. The study on angle joint of laminated bamboo furniture might provide the theoretical basis and was of important practical significance.
