An Empirical Research on Status of Land Tenant Transfer in China——A Case Study in Chongqing Municipality

Based on a field survey on land tenant transfer situation in Chongqing Municipality, the new attempts to apply ‘land index’ regime and to open the rural land property tenant transaction agency in Chongqing Municipality were proposed. The statistics about the surveyed townships and villages were analyzed, the price setting for land tenant transfer was also studied in this paper. Based on discussing about the land tenant transfer related policies in Chongqing Municipality, the problems occurred in the land tenant transferring process in China were analyzed and the corresponding countermeasures were put forward in this paper.
